The Canadian Jewish Law Association Welcomes the Honourable Russell Brown as A Member of the Board of Directors and Special Advisor to the Litigation Committee

The L’Association canadienne de droit juif is proud to announce that the Honourable Russell Brown, former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, has joined our Board of Directors and will be a Special Advisor to the Litigation Committee.

The Honourable Russell Brown brings unparalleled expertise and experience to our Association. Currently serving as an arbitrator, mediator, and Associate Counsel at Hunter Litigation Chambers in Vancouver, he is widely recognized for his contributions to the legal profession in Canada and beyond.

L'honorable Brown a fait partie de la magistrature canadienne pendant plus de dix ans, dont huit ans en tant que juge de la Cour suprême du Canada, où il a rédigé plus de 100 jugements en matière de droit commercial, privé et public. Avant sa carrière judiciaire, il a été professeur et doyen associé (études supérieures) de la faculté de droit de l'Université de l'Alberta, où il a également présidé l'Institut du droit de la santé.

Outre sa brillante carrière judiciaire et universitaire, l'honorable Brown est membre de plusieurs organisations d'arbitrage de premier plan, dont Arbitration Place, le Vancouver International Arbitration Centre et la Western Canadian Commercial Arbitration Society. Il siège également aux conseils d'administration de la Royal BC Museum Foundation, du Salvation Army Advisory Board (Greater Vancouver) et de la Canadian Constitution Foundation.

En tant que conseiller spécial du comité des litiges, l'honorable Brown fournira des conseils stratégiques et un leadership éclairé, contribuant à façonner les initiatives de l'Association en matière de plaidoyer et de litiges.
