About Us

Our Commitment to Change

The Canadian Jewish Law Association is a vital organization uniting legal professionals in the pursuit of justice, equality, and the eradication of hate. We are committed to creating a Canada where antisemitism, discrimination, and all forms of hatred have no place. By leveraging our legal expertise, we advocate for the civil rights of Jewish communities and other marginalized groups, striving to foster a society rooted in inclusion and respect.
Through legal representation, strategic litigation, and active participation in policy development, we defend the principles of justice at every level — from the courts to government institutions. We also prioritize education and respectful dialogue, believing these are critical in addressing the complex challenges posed by modern antisemitism and discrimination.
At the core of our work is the belief that legal advocacy can be a powerful tool for change. We are driven by a deep sense of responsibility to protect Jewish communities and to champion the values of fairness and inclusivity for all Canadians.

Why We Exist

The Canadian Jewish Law Association was founded with a singular purpose: to confront and combat antisemitism and all forms of discrimination in Canada. Despite progress, hate continues to endanger Jewish communities and undermine the fabric of our society. We exist because silence is not an option in the face of this injustice, and legal professionals have a unique and essential role to play in dismantling the forces that perpetuate hate.
Our work empowers Jewish legal professionals and their allies to fight these injustices head-on, promoting equality and advocating for a society where every individual is valued. Through legal action, education, and dialogue, we seek to build a future where Jewish communities — and all communities — can thrive free from fear and prejudice.
In doing so, we contribute to a just and inclusive Canada, seeking to ensure that antisemitism, discrimination, and hate are challenged and ultimately eradicated.
