The Canadian Jewish Law Association empowers the Jewish legal community and its supporters to combat antisemitism and all forms of discrimination by providing expert advocacy, promoting access to justice, advancing education, and fostering respectful dialogue. Recognizing Zionism as the right of Jews to self-determination in their ancestral homeland, and supporting the democratic State of Israel’s right to exist, we advocate against antisemitism as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition. Through litigation and representation in courts, bar associations, and at all levels of government, we cultivate civil rights, advance equality, and advocate for a society that stands firmly against hate.

To advocate for a just and inclusive Canada where antisemitism, discrimination, and hate are eradicated, and Jewish communities thrive through the collective strength of legal advocacy, education, and respectful dialogue. Our vision includes fostering an environment that recognizes and supports the right of the democratic State of Israel to exist, while encouraging open, respectful discussions that stand against hate and antisemitism in all its forms.
