CJLA Post for June 25 1 2

The Canadian Jewish Law Association (CJLA) is pleased to announce a special Members Evening!

The Canadian Jewish Law Association (CJLA) is pleased to announce a special Members Evening featuring a Fireside Chat with journalist, publisher, and Canadaland founder Jesse Brown.

Jesse Brown is one of Canada’s most recognizable independent media voices and the founder of Canadaland, a podcast and journalism platform focused on media criticism, public discourse, and current affairs. Over the past decade, his work has sparked national conversations around journalism, accountability, free expression, and antisemitism in Canada.

The evening will also feature a special recognition of Hank Idsinga for his outstanding contributions to the City of Toronto through his distinguished service with the Toronto Police Service and for his principled and unwavering voice in confronting antisemitism and supporting the Jewish community.

CJLA will also recognize Hank’s important contribution to public discourse through his book, The High Road: Confessions of a Homicide Cop, which addresses leadership, integrity, discrimination, and antisemitism within policing and public institutions.

Join us for an evening of discussion, dialogue, and community as we explore some of the most important issues shaping media, public discourse, antisemitism, and the rule of law in Canada today.

The evening will also include appetizers, refreshments, wine, and an opportunity for members and guests to connect through informal discussion and networking following the Fireside Chat.
